Facebook etiquette
Hi everyone, we’re really happy to see people joining the community Facebook group, especially our new neighbors. We just wanted to pop on here and give a few pointers about what to expect and how we intend for it to be used.
You will not be accepted unless you answer all of the intake questions. There are a lot of people who live here and we simply don’t know everyone so please don’t assume we’ll recognize you and let you in without answering the questions
The reason for the intake questions is because Neufairfield has multiple HOAs. Ours is for the townhome homes which covers all the streets between Colonial Dr and ends at the stop sign at Timber Springs Dr
We encourage you to voice concerns, even complain if you’re angry, and generally interact with your neighbors. It’s a place to find common ground with people and collaborate on new ideas. The only thing we don’t tolerate are rumors and lies
Please do not expect the board members themselves to be very active or active at all on the page. It’s a group for you, not us. We often see weeks old posts directed at us and feel bad we didn’t answer in time. Instead, if you need to contact a board member, please use the pinned post at the top of the group to view contact information for all board members as well as Debbie, our property management representative
Also, Debbie is often the bearer of bad news but please don’t be angry at her. She’s either following the law or enforcing a directive the board has put in place. Your issue usually isn’t with Debbie, it’s probably the law or a board policy. Of course, if you feel Debbie has been rude or unfair to you then you can reach out to us by email using the pinned info at the top of the group and she will not see any messages you send directly to our emails. All of our email addresses (except for the board(at)NeufairfieldTownhomes.com) are private emails that only go to a single person. The board@… sends an email to all board members except for Debbie.
But the most important point we want to impress on everyone is that we’d prefer you send us emails because we (especially Bill) do not check the Facebook group very often. We’ll maybe go on it if there’s a notification about a new member request and that’s it.
Anyway, more info about the November meeting will be coming to this website and your mailbox soon so be on the lookout for that.
